  My first hypnotism experience
Here is one speech I gave in Toastmaster:
-----------------------------------------------

" Good evening everyone. Before I start today’s story, I would like to encourage all of you to join my next speech session where I will be demonstrating self hypnotism. Additionally, here is the sign up sheet for any volunteers.

I know most of you are skeptical and are doubtful of the very idea of hypnotism.

My friends, I use to think like some of you are thinking. I tho't it was all a gimmick or a hoax. ..until…. I saw a professional hypnotist performing at an event for the first time. I was very impressed.  And I decided to learn it. They say, … the best way to learn, is to try!

And there began my first hypnotism session: on a relaxed Saturday afternoon at our university dormitory, my subjects - 4 of my close buddies.

I started like this…..Now you will relax and ..concentrate. You will feel tremendously confident after the session. And you will do well in your studies.

Now, I will countdown from 10 to 0 and you will slowly move from the alert state to the trance state. And that will be the most pleasurable moment 

10.. 9.. … Now you are feeling extremely easy and all the muscles are getting relaxed.. 6..5... now your arms are getting lighter.. 4... they are so light that they are now starting to float… I looked at them and OH MY GOD.. Their arms are already up…..I continued. Now, you will open your eyes on 0, but you will still be in trance state.. 3.. 2… 1 0 ….open your eyes..

They opened their eyes and they looked normal!!!……….. I was convinced that the experiment had failed… They weren’t hypnotized at all! They were just fooling me. They started leaving the room.. But, wait a minute… only three ?? what happened to the fourth one ? I looked at him. His eyes were still closed and hands were trying to reach the ceiling. .. I missed a heartbeat.. I screamed .. guys ..guys.. John is hypnotized…I was so scared.. and what scared me more was that I had completely forgotten the procedure to bring him back. Now, I had no choice, but to do something.. ..I said loudly.. now .. john.. I will count from 0 to 10.. when I say 10, you will be completely back to normal.... 0, 1…I continues..8, 9, 10. He opened his eyes, but only 1 of his hands was down. He lost the control on the other.

I still remember this and a chill goes down my spine..

All 4 of them were screaming .. and were trying to pull his hand down. After a long struggle, things were back to normal.

I had learned a lesson - the best way to learn, is to try, but not always!!!

Fortunately, we are still friends.. 3 are quite successful in their careers. The fourth, is still my buddy, but once in awhile, he feels uneasy when I start counting numbers.

Thank you. "

  Products and organizations
The growing complexity of science, technology, and organization does not imply either a growing knowledge or a growing need for knowledge in the general population. On the contrary, the increasingly complex processes tend to lead to increasingly simple and easily understood products.
